Why and/or how did you become a business educator?

I use to be a part-time ski instructor for 4 years and loved teaching all ages to learn to improve their skiing techniques on the slopes and it was great to see them progress. I became a business educator later in life I was a career changer moving from a job has a Health Care project manager to a business educator because I like to teach people and it is very worthwhile to watch people learn and know that what you are doing is making a difference in other’s lives.

What is something unique that you do in your classroom?

I bring energy, enthusiasm, humor, and really life experiences into my lesson plans and try to find new ways and techniques for students to learn while having fun at the same time. I actually get a lot of students who are “repeat customers”, they come back and take many classes I teach. In some of my classes, I use 3D printer technology which adds a new dimension to my lesson plans.

What are you passionate about in business education?

I am a passionate business and technology educator who is continually striving to advance student awareness and problem-solving skills linked to real business experiences. I really like to integrate technology education into learning global opportunities to enhance student proficiency with a variety of technology applications and software. I like to determine and select best methods to transfer knowledge to students inside and outside the classroom. I am a life-long learner with a passion to continue educating young adults in college and high school in business, global experiences related curriculum.
