The primary mission of business education is to provide instruction for and about business. The discipline of business education prepares students to become contributing citizens who are capable of making astute personal economic decisions. As America’s businesses evolve to compete successfully in the global marketplace, there is a growing need for employees who have business expertise and who are able to analyze and respond to trends. In a high-tech world, it is critical for students to develop abilities to understand and adapt to change. Students who have strong backgrounds in business education will take their places as important professionals who contribute significantly to the prosperity and stability of our state and nation. For decades, members of the business education profession in Massachusetts have established and contributed to build on a proud heritage, expanding on a tradition of making significant contributions to the economic well-being of this state and its citizens. Our association is meeting this mission by complying with the purpose of our association as identified in the Massachusetts Business Educators Association, Inc. By-Laws.
