Writers Wanted for the CEE!

CEE-logoWe received this request from the Council for Economic Education:

Greetings Colleagues,

I seek your help in identifying an individual to write personal finance lessons for a special needs audience. CEE has been asked to develop a set of lessons for learners with cognitive disabilities. The lessons would focus on financial basics such as:

  • the basics of money and spending;
  • decision making; and
  • jobs and earning income.

Additionally, they would help to prepare students for independent living with lessons on:

  • budgeting;
  • the basics of renting an apartment and other likely living expenses;
  • financial institutions; and
  • credit and managing debt.

Candidates should have insight into the issues and policies affecting learners with cognitive disabilities and will have the ability to tailor content to meet their needs.

What existing relationships do those of you in our network hold that may help us? Do you have any recommendations? If you do have a recommendation, would like more details or would like to nominate yourself, please reach out to me using the contact info listed below. Please also be sure to forward any writing samples that would help us in our selection.

Thanks!
